[Acts 10:33]Text Box: “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name” (Hebrews 13:15).

The word “thanks” and all its derivatives occurs 142 times in 136 verses in the Bible. That’s a lot of verses dealing with thanks. If there is one thing the Bible teaches us about our relationship with God, it is to be in a continued state of thankfulness to God. The Bible says “in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (I Thess. 5:18). Nothing could be clearer than that regarding the will of God for our lives than to be thankful. What does the Bible tells us about what to be thankful for? We are to thank Him because He is good and His mercy endures forever (I Chronicles 16:34). We are to thank Him for His Holy Name and for all of His wonderful works for He gives good things to both the just and the unjust. Finally, we are to be thankful for His sacrifice for us on the Cross. We did the crime, Jesus paid our fine in His life’s blood Thank you Father for the indescribable gift of Your Son. .
